Alumni Pop-Up Event at the
Science Center of Iowa

Mental Health: Mind Matters is a traveling exhibit currently at the Science Center of Iowa that aims to build greater understanding of the importance of mental health and create a safe space for meaningful conversations about mental illness. Learn more.

Join fellow Institute alumni as we are greeted by Curt Simmons, CEO of the Science Center of Iowa. He will discuss how collaborative partnership allowed for Des Moines to receive this exhibit and what the impact on the community has been so far. We will tour the exhibit which features hands-on experiences that bring you closer to facts, feelings and issues surrounding this significant topic.

Stick around for conversation, a beverage, as well as a short overview of a 2019 Community Leadership Program class project impacting NAMI Des Moines.

This event is free to 1982 Society Members and current class members. There is a small fee for basic members and guests.
